SCRIPTURE:  Mark 9:2-9
The Transfiguration
Six days later, Jesus took with him Peter and James and John, and led them up a high mountain apart, by themselves. And he was transfigured before them, and his clothes became dazzling white, such as no one[a] on earth could bleach them. And there appeared to them Elijah with Moses, who were talking with Jesus. Then Peter said to Jesus, “Rabbi, it is good for us to be here; let us make three dwellings,[b] one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.” He did not know what to say, for they were terrified. Then a cloud overshadowed them, and from the cloud there came a voice, “This is my Son, the Beloved;[c] listen to him!” Suddenly when they looked around, they saw no one with them any more, but only Jesus.
The Coming of Elijah
As they were coming down the mountain, he ordered them to tell no one about what they had seen, until after the Son of Man had risen from the dead.

COME WORSHIP WITH US

 Currently via Zoom.

We worship every Sunday morning at 10:00am and celebrate Holy Communion on the first Sunday of every month.

Whether you are searching for a new church home or just looking for a port in the storm, you will receive a warm welcome!

We worship in our beautiful Sanctuary from Rally Sunday in September until the beginning of June and our yearly church picnic. For the hotter summer months we worship in our Fellowship Hall in a more intimate, informal setting.  We love having both ways to be together and celebrate our relationship with God. Worship is Biblically based and often follows the Lectionary but is flexible….. Flectionary you might say. We find ourselves more connected to the message when it is relevant to our lives. Before and after worship you will find us talking and catching up with each other. Come join us!

Offeratory

At this time we ask you to give whatever you can. Olivet’s missions reach out in many ways to our community, and we can’t do it without your ongoing support.

Deuteronomy 16:16b, 17 – “They shall not appear before the LORD empty-handed. Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the LORD your God that He has given you.”
