On June 7, 2026 a vote will be held following worship on adopting the proposed Open and Affirming (ONA) covenant. This covenant was drafted on May 17th during an ONA session. This session was 4th in a series of gatherings that were open to all who attend Olivet. The series was an opportunity to explore what it means to be an Open and Affirming Church. While the designation was originally meant to specifically support the LGBTQ+ community, it has become an opportunity to publicly state who is welcomed into a church and what that welcome means.
