Community Presence

Olivet is a part of the United Church of Christ. We have been on the corner of North and Main in Bridgeport, CT since 1891 and continue to be an active presence in the community.

WhO We ARE

Olivet Congregational Church is a family-sized, urban congregation that “does a lot with a little”. We are a diverse, welcoming community of faith that enjoys local mission work, sharing our facility and participating in shared ministries. We care deeply for one another. We are small but mighty.

Sharing the blessing of our historic building
is central to our commitment to hospitality. Sports programs for youth empowerment, a monthly play group for children and their families, and two other congregations, the First Haitian Church of God in Jesus Christ and Emmanuel Christian Church, are a few of the groups that find welcome at Olivet.
