On October 13, 2022, we gathered with the other congregations who worship at Olivet (First Haitian Church of God in Jesus Christ, the Living the Life Christian Center, and Iglesia Immanuel Christiana) for a Prayer Vigil and Service of Remembrance for those who died of gun violence.  It was a poignant service which included scripture read in English, in Spanish by Pastor Alejo-Burgos, and in French by Pastor Laloi; contemporary music by Pastor Vereen, Raven Moore, Kevin Guy, and Tahjai Rogers of the Christian Life Center and traditional hymns played by Nick Drabik.  Candles were lit in memory of those who died and prayers offered for their loved ones and those who were affected by gun violence.  It is a blessing to come together as Christians to recall those who have died and support those who mourn, trusting in our resurrected Lord.
