Our Open and Affirming Covenant has been adopted by congregational vote! We are awaiting certification from the UCC Conference. Thank you to all who attended the workshops and shared their thinking and questions. While our ONA Covenant has been adopted the work is not done. Stay tuned for next steps. Olivet Congregational Church UCC Open and Affirming Covenant

Olivet Congregational Church is an Open and Affirming (ONA) church of the United Church of Christ. We recognize, value, and love each and every individual as a child of God. We welcome all people regardless of who you are or where you are on your spiritual journey. All means ALL.

We respect and care about people of every gender, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, age, marital status, family configuration, ethnicity/culture, race, immigration status, economic circumstance, physical ability, cognitive ability, mental health condition, or other health condition (including addictions). All are welcome to participate fully in the fellowship, leadership, ministry, rites and sacraments, and mission of this church as we seek to grow together as a safe and nurturing community of faith. 

We commit ourselves to the ongoing work of being an ONA congregation, one that lives out the belief that God is still speaking. With God’s grace, we journey together in Christian faith.
